The Journey Continues

I'm now at 8 weeks for the shot. Next month will be 8 weeks again and now half a dose. I am experiencing a lot of dizziness from the medicine-but it gets better the closer it comes time for the medicine. Right now my eyes are extremely dry-itchy. Can't wear my contacts or makeup!I am now not sure if its from the hives trying to come out or just from the medicine. It will go away in a few days as it normally does when this happens-though it hasn't happened in a while. My specialist doctor is officially gone. Which is ok-I might be getting close to being done with this. The real test is after next month. She had said to 'skip' a month and see what happens. I still have small symptoms. My one ear still gets red and swells-and stops after a few minutes. Usually I would break out after that happened.
I don't think I'm completely out of the woods yet. But we aren't going to know anything if I don't keep lowering the med. I am nervous but I do trust my primary doctor alot. I would go to a different place if I didn't trust him so much. I might try still half a dose after skipping the month to play it safe but I am going to still talk to my primary about it, you can very easy end up going backwards if you don't play it safe! Pray for me!

Risky Business

Today I got the usual 4 week phone call. It usually is a week ahead of schedule but they are backed up, and I know my routine anyway, as I am due for the shot tomorrow. We went through the usual-How are you? Any side effects? Any flare ups? I told her of my latest flare ups and issues with dehydration, my ongoing frustration at the reality that this is my reality and maybe I should take a break from Xolair just to see how it goes, cause really I could just take more antihistamine..... try try again!

So this last shot a couple weeks ago went ok. No swelling of the face etc. Great. This time I went at 8:15 am and went back to work. Normally I was doing after lunch but due to the issues last month I wanted to wait out the whole day when I was close to an ER. The different this time is once I got to work, I got double vision and felt suddenly very weak. I had to call my mom for an emergency sports drink as drinking a bunch of water was not cutting it. After getting the powerade I felt better within 30 minutes. Dehydration is a bitch. Since there was no swelling this time I followed my docs orders and discontinued the nighttime allegra. She said if that went well to discontinue half of the zyrtec at night, just to try. I have noticed in her notes she doesn't put everything she said in the notes, which isn't that big of a deal. Because if shes covering her ass on certain things, but still willing to give me suggestions to help me with the dehydration shit, I don't care. I

Dr appts

Today I had my follow up with Dr. Nakai. GOD would I hate her job. You have mere minutes to listen to a patient and figure out whats up with them. Physically and mentally. Ha. When I described my eye flares, looking like I got punched in the face etc. She thought it out thinking it possibly could be make up, but after some discussion determined it probably is the hives, but to maybe try to do no eye make up for a month. In discussion over my extreme fatigue, there's not much you can do about it. Just try to not over exert myself, aka, slow down at the gym. Which is true. Those days where I'm feeling great, I ruin it by DOING ALL THE THINGS. It flares me up and fatigues me. I in general need the rest anyways, so the truth is, I need to not work out so hard. :( this makes me sad as working out has caused me to lose weight and feel good in general, but I will listen to these warning bells of fatigue.
